Contract RN - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (Nights)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and perform assessments.
• Assist in emergency procedures, such as intubations and lumbar punctures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Document all patient interaction and care in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required by start date.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department is preferred.
