UTS- Temporary Facilities Maintenance Tech at NC State

The primary purpose of this position is to support the safe and efficient operation of campus facilities by performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance across multiple building systems. This role develops and applies knowledge in various tradesincluding plumbing, electrical, HVAC, steam systems, and fume hoodsto maintain equipment functionality and reliability. The position is responsible for assisting with repairs, monitoring and documenting system performance, following established safety and lockout/tagout procedures, and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with preventative maintenance schedules, safety standards, and operational best practices.

Requirements and Preferences

Work Schedule - Monday - Friday (7:00am - 4:00pm)

Other Work/Responsibilities - Other duties as needed.

Minimum Experience/Education - High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification(s).

Department Required Skills - Experience in HVAC, steam, plumbing, and electrical trades. Able to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
