Front Desk Receptionist

Overview Role: Medical Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist, full-time, as a vital member of the healthcare team. Provides essential medical administrative support and patient care in a dynamic environment, with core skills in basic life support, EHR systems, and patient care. Responsibilities Welcome and check-in patients Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and document all information in the patient\'s chart Ensure all related reports and labs are available in patients’ medical records prior to appointments Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality of medical records Prepare treatment rooms for examinations Maintain logs and required checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, sterilization fluid changes) Manage telephone messages and respond to patient/physician/pharmacy inquiries Disinfect and clean treatment rooms after examinations; uphold safety, compliance with standards and regulations Arrange collection of cultures and timely transport to the lab Keep exam rooms and work areas clean and stocked Assist with lab draws if needed Check-out and schedule follow-ups Experience EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred) Basic triage skills: 1 year (Preferred) Insurance verification: 1 year (Required) Basic blood draws: 1 year (Preferred) Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Administrative Industries Hospitals and Health Care Location: St. Petersburg, FL Note: This description reflects the responsibilities and qualifications for the role as listed in the source. #J-18808-Ljbffr Nurse Practitioners Of Florida
