Job Description
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty: RRT

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift: 12

Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred

License: RRT License Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have: TX RRT License in hand

Description:
Local candidates within 90 miles are eligible.
On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Weekend shifts are every other weekend.
BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with charting systems is needed.
Knowledge of Epic is a requirement.
Experience in adult critical care and emergency department settings is essential.
Skills required include intubation assist, extubation, tracheostomy care, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.
Candidate must be proficient with equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula.
Flexibility in scheduling is crucial.
Interdisciplinary support will be available on the unit.
Special procedures and patient diagnoses will vary.
Candidates should be prepared to work with a diverse patient demographic including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Approved time off is limited to five non-consecutive days.
During the holiday season, only one holiday request can be approved.
All requests for time off need management approval before signing a contract.
