Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electro-mechanical equipment and systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring reliable operation of production machinery, including robotics and CNC equipment, to support continuous and efficient manufacturing processes.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment and systems within a manufacturing environment.Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including wiring, controls, and related components on production machinery.Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on equipment, including moving parts, assemblies, and structural components.Maintain and service hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and actuators, to ensure proper operation.Troubleshoot and support robotics systems, including Motoman robots, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.For machining department roles, repair CNC milling equipment, including spindles, pumps, and all related components within the CNC machines.Perform preventive maintenance tasks to reduce equipment failures and extend the life of machinery.Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production calls to restore operations safely and efficiently.Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement corrective actions.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately for tracking and continuous improvement.Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working around electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and robotic systems.Support a high-volume, automotive manufacturing environment by maintaining equipment reliability and uptime.Essential SkillsProven experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.Strong electrical skills, including working with industrial electrical systems and controls.Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience maintaining and repairing production machinery.Knowledge and practical experience with hydraulic systems and components.Ability to troubleshoot and maintain robotics systems, including Motoman robots.Experience repairing CNC milling equipment, including spindles, pumps, and internal CNC components (required for machining department roles).Ability to work safely with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and robotic equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues under time pressure.Ability to work assigned shifts, including first, second, night weekend, or day weekend shifts as described.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfort working in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment.Willingness to learn new technologies and participate in structured training programs.Ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams.Strong attention to detail when documenting maintenance activities and following procedures.Interest in career development opportunities such as technical skill growth and advancement into engineering or leadership roles.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from solid benefits, paid time off, and additional bonuses for certain Sunday work. The facility operates at a fast pace, producing components such as rear brake knuckles for multiple vehicle models. Work involves hands-on interaction with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, robotic, and CNC equipment on the production floor. Multiple shift options are available: first shift in the assembly department (6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m., MondayFriday one week and MondaySunday the next), second shift in the machining department (2:30 p.m. 10:30 p.m., following the same alternating schedule), a night weekend shift (6:30 p.m. 6:30 a.m., FridaySunday, 36 hours with an additional hourly premium), and a day weekend shift (6:30 a.m. 6:30 p.m., FridaySunday, 36 hours with an additional hourly premium). Attire is typical for an industrial manufacturing setting, with appropriate safety gear required on the production floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Spring, GA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
