Legal Counsel

Legal Counsel – Flow Business Unit Location: Golden Valley, MN (minimum 3 days per week on‑site). We are looking for a licensed attorney to support the Flow Business Unit and other legal initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide the full scope of direct legal support to the Flow Business Unit, including advising on commercial and manufacturing related transactions, marketing, intellectual property, product regulatory compliance, risk and safety, and antitrust. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, vendors, product dealers and distributors. Collaborate on cross‑border transactions, corporate initiatives, and standardization efforts. Support the broader legal team with strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and compliance matters, litigation, and claims. Provide advice and legal support regarding marketing and regulatory claims and product certifications. Provide training to company business partners on contracting, risk management, legal, regulatory, and compliance topics. Perform special projects and support continuous improvement of legal department standard work, knowledge management, and processes. Coordinate policy and process among enterprise, business units, and legal, finance and accounting teams. Support on governmental or quasi‑governmental inquiries (environmental, safety, customs, etc.). Manage external law firm work and expense when outside expertise is required. Key Qualifications JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the United States. Minimum of 5 years of legal experience. Limited travel (≤10%). Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and transactions. Prior in‑house legal experience preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing industry preferred. Results oriented, sound judgment, business relationships, and risk management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proactive, reliable, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and legal redlining. Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tool preferred. Compensation Annualized base pay range: $128,500 – $238,600. Additional compensation may include annual incentive bonus. Salary determined by experience, training, licensure, and other factors.
