Physical Requirements - The physical requirements of this position include: sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; and regular traveling/walking through the facilities.

Shift - Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm (with some flexibility). May also include some evenings, weekends and holidays per departmental needs.

Job Summary - The Customer Relations Specialist will provide prompt, sensitive and professional responses to patients and families regarding their complaint or grievance. This position will also collaborate and serve as a liaison between patients, families, and/or surrogates and UK HealthCare staff and departments; will research and document obstacles to the delivery of service to proactively work on developing solutions; and adhere to UK Healthcare Behavioral at all times.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service; superior communications abilities with an emphasis on patient care, diplomacy, and sensitivity; and a strong background in utilizing Microsoft systems including Windows, Word, and Excel.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? - No

Preferred Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field with 3 years of experience preferred.
