Operations Manager – HVAC / Building Automation

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations within a commercial HVAC and building automation environment. This role is responsible for overseeing service and project execution, supporting field teams, and ensuring work is delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage people, prioritize workload, and keep both service and project operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Oversee daily service and project activity across the team
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop field and technical teams
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and reliability

Project & Service Execution

• Support delivery of installation, service, and retrofit work
• Help resolve operational or technical issues impacting timelines
• Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

Customer Support

• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Address escalations and ensure overall service quality
• Support customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships

Performance & Process Improvement

• Monitor productivity and operational performance
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflows
• Help standardize processes across service and project work

Safety & Compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture
• Ensure compliance with company and job site requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, mechanical services, building automation, or a related field
• Leadership experience managing teams, projects, or field operations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills with both internal teams and customers

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience in building automation or controls environments
• Exposure to service operations, project coordination, or commissioning
• Experience in commercial or industrial settings
