Micron Solutions is seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to support our plastics manufacturing operations in Fitchburg, MA. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding presses, robotics, dryers, chillers, thermolators, conveyors, and material handling systems .
This is NOT:
- Building maintenance
- Facilities maintenance
- HVAC maintenance
- Machinist work
- General maintenance technician work
This IS:
- Injection molding press maintenance
- Robotics and automation support
- Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
- Plastics manufacturing equipment repair
- Production equipment reliability and uptime
Candidates must have hands-on experience maintaining injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical failures
- Repair molding machines to minimize production downtime
- Maintain and troubleshoot robots, chillers, dryers, thermolators, conveyors, and material handling systems
- Diagnose issues with heaters, sensors, motors, relays, controls, and electrical components
- Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of molding equipment
- Partner with Process Technicians to resolve equipment-related molding issues
- Identify recurring failures and implement long-term corrective actions
- Complete preventive maintenance activities and equipment documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and uptime
- Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures
- Support ISO 13485 quality requirements
Required Experience
Required
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience on injection molding equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molding presses
- Experience maintaining molding support equipment including robots, dryers, chillers, thermolators, conveyors, and material handling systems
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience performing industrial equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
- Ability to work independently and solve complex equipment issues
Preferred
Experience with:
- Engel injection molding presses
- Arburg injection molding presses
- Sodick injection molding presses
- Toyo injection molding presses
- Automation and robotics systems
- Medical device manufacturing
- ISO 13485 environments
- CMMS systems
- Preventive maintenance programs

- Facilities maintenance

- Property maintenance
- HVAC service
- General handyman work
- CNC machining only
will not be considered unless they also have direct injection molding equipment maintenance experience.
