Registered Nurse Ambulatory Care

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Care provides skilled nursing care and clinical support in an outpatient setting. This role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. The nurse is expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs and must have at least 2 years of nursing experience. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. Responsibilities:

• Perform patient assessments and administer medications as prescribed.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Float between units as required to support facility operations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner charting system.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (no pending licenses accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Special Considerations:

• Mandatory float to other units as directed by the facility.
• No call requirements.
• Submissions with no return-to-office (RTO) within the first 4-5 weeks of assignment will be prioritized.
• RTO limited to 5 days maximum with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on weekends or holidays or the day before/after holidays.
• Local candidates only.
• Limited parking available; public transit recommended.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM).
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
