About the Position We are providing an independent practice opportunity for a Rheumatology Physician who will own and operate their own practice entity while receiving structured operational support from MedCBO. This is not an employed physician position. The physician governs clinical operations and patient care policies, while MedCBO supplies non‑clinical administrative and operational services. Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the specialty scope of rheumatology. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing as required. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination Billing and collections management Payer contract negotiation Financial infrastructure and reporting Operational workflows and staffing systems Technology platform and implementation Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice Board certified or board eligible in a relevant rheumatology specialty Eligibility for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice Interest in the independent practice model Preferred Desire for practice ownership Community‑based care interest Leadership or program development interest Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice and is not a salary.
