Sterile Processing Technician

Position Summary The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the efficient processing, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and devices throughout the hospital. This role ensures all instrumentation is cleaned, disinfected, assembled, sterilized, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), infection prevention standards, and hospital policies to support safe patient care. Shift: Evening 2:30 PM to 11 PM Monday to Friday Required Skills & Competencies Knowledge of a wide variety of surgical instrumentation used in the operating room and throughout the hospital. Proficiency in: Steam sterilization systems EO sterilization systems Low-temperature sterilization systems Washer/disinfector operations Ultrasonic cleaners Biological and chemical indicator testing Ability to operate sterilization and processing equipment safely and effectively. Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently with consistent supervision. Attention to detail and commitment to infection prevention and patient safety standards. Experience Requirements Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing or central sterile experience required.
