Job DetailsJob Location: Community Manufacturing Solutions - Kingston, NY 12401Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: DayJob Category: Sales POSITION SUMMARY The Sales Associate is responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and supporting the full sales cycle for contract manufacturing services. This role works closely with production, engineering, and technical teams to ensure client needs are clearly understood and translated into accurate quotes, realistic timelines, and successful long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable discussing technical production details (materials, construction methods, lead times, and capacity) with both new prospects and established accounts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets through outreach, networking, trade shows, and referrals. Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building long-term relationships based on trust and reliability. Gather customer requirements (specifications, materials, quantities, and deadlines) and coordinate with the management team to develop accurate, competitive quotes. Present quotes and proposals to prospective and existing clients, negotiating terms as needed. Partner with production and planning teams to confirm order feasibility, lead times, and capacity before committing to delivery dates. Track open opportunities, quotes, and orders in the CRM/order system, keeping pipeline and account information current. Communicate order status, changes, and delays proactively to clients, and elevate issues internally when needed. Collect and relay customer feedback to help improve products, processes, and service levels. Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review. Represent the company professionally at customer visits, industry events, and trade shows as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or customer service, preferably in manufacturing, apparel, textiles, or a related industry. Familiarity with cut-and-sew production processes, materials, or contract manufacturing is strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly to nontechnical audiences. Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using CRM software, spreadsheets, and standard office/communication tools. Self-motivated with strong follow-through and attention to detail. Willingness to travel occasionally for client visits or trade shows. PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Primarily an office environment with regular time spent on the manufacturing floor to review production and samples. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to twenty-five pounds (e.g., sample materials, product bins).
