Senior Solution Engineer/ IT Consultant

Senior Solution Engineer/IT Consultant (Alfa Financial Software, Inc.; Royal Oak, MI) (Multiple Positions) The Senior Solution Engineer/IT Consultant will bridge technology and business teams to explain solutions, support design, development, and testing by architecting highly scalable enterprise SaaS applications. Responsibilities Design client‑specific integration solutions. Liaise with other Alfa teams to prioritize and manage enhancement requests and roadmap. Support internal teams in issue investigations. Prepare materials for knowledge sharing while mentoring and coaching other solution architects. Design solution architecture that optimizes Alfa Systems capabilities to meet client and future project requirements. Deliver architecture practice and share responsibility for the success of client delivery. Identify risks, issues and dependencies, mitigate where possible, and escalating as appropriate, including working through solutions with the client. Maintain stakeholder/project relationships with corresponding client staff. Assess and identify product improvements and contribute to the architectural considerations of a proprietary, web‑based platform, using existing supported client platforms; design enhancements; define new integration patterns/approaches with review of existing client landscape systems. Work with Product Owners and Markets & Products to shape and prioritize Alfa’s technical and functional roadmaps. Contribute to RFP responses and assist in sales demonstrations/presentations. Work on initiatives supporting corporate strategy. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience as a Junior IT Consultant, Junior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Analyst or related field. 2 years of experience in the automotive, equipment finance industries, or related finance sectors. Experience architecting highly scalable enterprise SaaS applications. Experience with cloud hosting architecture, processes & standards. Knowledge of AWS, PostgreSQL, CI/CD solutions, REST APIs, and data streaming. Telecommuting permitted. 20% domestic travel to client sites.
