Dairy Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dairy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dairy department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring product quality, maintaining inventory levels, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the dairy industry, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Supervise and train dairy department staff, fostering a positive team environment. Manage inventory control, ensuring optimal stock levels and freshness of products. Oversee purchasing and pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing. Implement effective merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility and sales. Conduct employee orientation, training, and development programs to improve team performance. Handle payroll and bookkeeping tasks related to the dairy department. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of dairy operations. Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Utilize retail math skills for accurate pricing, budgeting, and financial reporting. Collaborate with upper management on sales strategies and marketing initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in retail management or grocery store operations, preferably within the dairy sector. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and employee supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus. Proficiency in inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology. Ability to perform cash handling duties accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities. Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and training new employees is highly desirable. Familiarity with merchandising techniques and retail sales strategies. Basic math skills for budgeting, pricing, and financial analysis.
