Material Manager- Nuclear Projects

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the materials procurement lifecycle, including planning, tracking, receiving, and issuing materials.
• Support project teams during refueling outages, forced outages, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Oversee creation and tracking of Catalog IDs (CATIDs), Material Requests (MRs), and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Develop and improve material tracking systems to ensure visibility of procurement status.
• Inspect and verify incoming materials for quality, quantity, and compliance with project specifications.
• Stage and manage materials for project readiness while maintaining proper storage and traceability.
• Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to resolve shipping issues, including OSD&D (Overage, Shortage, Damaged & Discrepancy).
• Validate engineering bill of materials against project requirements and system records.
• Communicate procurement status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
• Handle and transport materials safely, including use of work trucks and basic tools.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support project success.

Skills:

• Basic project management knowledge and techniques.
• Familiarity with materials management, procurement processes, and supply chain coordination.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Education/Experience:

• High School.
