Quality Assurance Technician

Food Safety & Quality Assurance TechnicianThe Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for meeting all the Safe Quality Food Standards including quality, food safety and aesthetics of the product. The Food Safety & QA technicians follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, BRC standards and product quality standards.Duties & ResponsibilitiesCollect swab resultsEnter results into databaseReview results to ensure compliance with specificationsProvide feedback to operators and manufacturing managers regarding non-conforming products and packagingCommunicate results according to established communication methodsEnsure that assigned area is clean at all times following established cleaning and sanitation practicesInforms Quality and Production Manager of any food safety problemsAdhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and job instructionsTake corrective actions when measures are out of specificationTake and document required process, quality measuresMeet or exceed established targetsAdhere to the company's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the general food safety standards of BRC.Responsible for routine cleaning and general maintenance of the workspace as assigned.Responsible to verify all product produced by Tandem Foods is into customer specification.Responsible for verifying production process to meet company and customer standards. (Brix, Moisture, etc.)Perform other related duties as assigned, alerting team leaders and managers of idle time.Two years of production team experience preferredMust have a High School degree/GED or equivalent educationAbility to read & write SpanishStrong verbal communication skillsMathematical aptitudePhysical dexterityAbility to regularly use ladders and stairs
