Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist manages complex, high-impact sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations with minimal supervision. This role functions as a subject matter expert for designated categories, providing strategic guidance on sourcing approaches, contract development, and deal structuring while safeguarding organizational interests. You will collaborate closely with legal and cross-functional partners to deliver successful procurement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead intricate sourcing events and oversee contract development processes

• Act as a subject matter expert for high-value or complex spend categories

• Provide strategic input on sourcing methodologies and contract structuring

• Draft, evaluate, and revise complex agreements and contractual documents

• Utilize pricing models and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses to maximize value

• Support negotiations and maintain strong supplier relationships

• Partner with legal, risk management, and business stakeholders across the organization

• Mentor and support the development of junior procurement team members

Essential Skills

• 7+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, or a related discipline

• Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts

• Strong background in supplier and vendor management

• Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving abilities

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

• Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in utility, manufacturing, or construction industries

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in a cubicle-based office environment. Standard hours are approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some flexibility in start and end times. The dress code is business casual. The role provides a long-term opportunity with the potential for direct hire, as well as paid holidays including New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas, along with two weeks of paid time off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $50.00/hr.
