Trial Attorney

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and qualified attorney to join its trial team in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will be committed to achieving exceptional results in personal injury and civil rights cases, demonstrating boldness and a refusal to accept mediocrity. Responsibilities Handle personal injury cases from initial consultation through resolution. Draft and file pleadings, including complaints, motions, and briefs. Conduct depositions and witness interviews. Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel. Prepare and argue motions in court. Requirements Active state bar license in good standing with 2+ years of litigation experience. Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills. Ability to work on a team and be responsive to other lawyers and clients. Willingness to work hard, often on short deadlines. Education J.D. from an ABA-approved law school. Certifications Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed. Skills Exceptional writing, speaking, and people skills. Former appellate clerkship is desirable.
