About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-surg Adult Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current Wisconsin License Certifications: NIHSS, CPR/BLS Must-Have: Vaccinated for flu; education verification required Description: We are seeking experienced nurses. Candidates must have a current Wisconsin license, NIHSS certification, and CPR/BLS certification. RN must be vaccinated for flu. Education verification is required. Travel RNs may be required to float to other units. This position will require every other weekend and holiday working. Shifts are 12 hours long from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by a physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
