Director Product, Discovery & AI

About the Role:

We are looking for a Director Product, Discovery & AI to define and lead the future of content discovery for over 100 million monthly active viewers. This leader will own the strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for recommendations, ranking, personalization, search, and AI-powered experiences across Tubi.

This is a highly technical product leadership role at the intersection of machine learning, consumer product, and entertainment. You will partner closely with engineering, machine learning, and data science teams to build state-of-the-art recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, foundation models, and personalization capabilities that help viewers discover content they'll love.

You will oversee the systems that determine what millions of viewers watch every day, while shaping how AI transforms the end-to-end entertainment experience - from the content understanding and acquisition strategy to search, recommendations, and next gen discovery.

This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office. You must be willing to travel to our San Francisco office 2 days/week.

What You'll Do:

• Build industry-leading recommendation, ranking, search, and personalization systems that improve viewer engagement and retention
• Partner with machine learning and engineering leaders to advance large-scale recommendation systems, deep learning, foundation models, and applied AI
• Drive product strategy for the signals, features and content attributes that power personalized experiences
• Leverage AI and machine learning to better understand content, predict viewer preferences, and inform content acquisition and programming decisions
• Analyze performance of AI/machine learning approaches and develop strategies and execution plans to increase the associated business impact
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to create durable competitive advantages for Tubi
• Be accountable for achieving company-level growth objectives
• Lead the growth and development of a high performing team of Product Managers

Your Background:

• 8+ years of product management experience building and scaling consumer-facing products
• 4+ years of experience leading and managing product teams
• Deep experience and understanding of modern machine learning approaches, including recommender systems, deep learning, retrieval and ranking architectures, large language models, and foundation models
• Ability to partner with senior engineering, machine learning, and data science leaders on model architecture, experimentation strategy, infrastructure investments, and technical roadmaps
• Solid understanding of machine learning evaluation methodologies
• Ability to work with and influence cross-functional stakeholders and senior executive teams across the company
• Passion for applying leading edge AI and machine learning technologies to solve complex consumer problems

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

$243,700 — $348,100 USD
