About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the company's privacy legal function, with a focus on privacy counseling, AI privacy regulation, and commercial privacy support. This role involves advising cross-functional teams on global privacy laws, building and owning the privacy counseling and compliance program, and developing expertise in privacy regulations specific to the company's core industries. The Senior Privacy Counsel will also be responsible for managing privacy incident response processes, developing training materials, and representing the company in discussions with regulators and external stakeholders on privacy and AI governance matters. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' legal experience, with a strong background in global privacy laws and AI regulatory frameworks. A passion for AI and a deep understanding of AI products and related legal issues are essential. The role requires the ability to assess privacy risks, implement compliance solutions, and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in mentoring and managing junior team members, as well as a proven track record in drafting and negotiating privacy-related commercial terms. Experience in a regulated industry or high-growth technology company, as well as engagement with regulators on AI and privacy issues, is highly valued.
