Job Description The Coordinator for Student Staffing will work to supportrecruitment efforts throughout the fall, spring, and summersemesters for Resident Assistants (RAs) within Housing andResidential Life. The primary role of this position is to providesupport to the Assistant Director for Staff Recruitment. Thecoordinator will be responsible for managing the undergraduaterecruitment, hiring, and re-hiring processes for new and returningcandidates. The Student Staffing Coordinator will assist indeveloping and implementing a comprehensive onboarding experiencefor RA staff, including RA Information Sessions and RAKickoff. Job Duties

RA STAFF RECRUITMENT

Assist with planning and coordinating the RA selection processwhich includes, marketing/advertising, communication, applicationprocess, interviews, offers/rejections, alternate RA, and RAKick-off. Assist with selection for each RA recruitment cycle (Fall,Spring, and Summer), including overseeing scheduling,communication, and logistics. Collaborate with Assistant Director for Staff Recruitment tomanage RA vacancies and candidate waitlists throughout academicyear. Assist the Assistant Director for Staff Recruitmentin thecreation of processes and initiatives related to RA selection. Maintain records of application, performance history, androster for all undergraduate RA staff. Manage background checks, student conduct checks, and GPAchecks for all current and incoming RAs.

ADMINISTRATION

Schedule meetings, book rooms, and manage logistics such as A/Vneeds, catering, etc. Manage the scheduling, preparation, logistics, and facilitationof special events/programs and meetings. Oversee the uniform/t-shirt/name badge ordering, distribution,and inventory for RA staff. Submit requests for and maintain records of the following:background checks, student conduct checks, and GPA checks for allRAs. Manage and respond to internal and external emails through theto the Resident Assistant Email account in a timely manner, keepingconfidentiality as needed.

ONBOARDING & TRAINING

Assist with creating presentations and facilitating trainingsessions for various levels of staff regarding staff recruitment,selection, and onboarding processes. Design, execute, and assess student staff training andonboarding initiatives. Assist with developing, disseminating, and training on RArecruitment procedures for the department of Housing andResidential Life.

DEPARTMENTAL AND DIVISIONAL PARTNERSHIPS

Serve as a liaison with campus stakeholders within studentemployment and leadership opportunities within the Division ofStudent Success. Collaborate with a variety of campus partners including: theOffice of Admissions, the Career Center, Student Involvement andEngagement, and Student Health among others. Contribute to and actively participate in strategic planning,unit goal setting, data/assessment efforts, and determiningcommunity staffing priorities and initiatives.
