Mechanical Assembly Technician

Skilled Mechanical Assembly Technicians Needed!

Weekly Pay: $24-26/hr

The Mechanical Assembler will work hands-on with a variety of custom water treatment, process, and specialty equipment designed and built for customers. This role involves using technical drawings and P&IDs to install piping, pumps, valves, sensors, and other mechanical components, offering exposure to complete equipment builds from assembly through testing. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and building diverse projects. The Mechanical Assembler will develop valuable technical skills while working alongside an experienced team, with opportunities for cross-training and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, and Production Prints.
• Install mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and sensors per design.
• Install mechanical piping, which may consist of PVC, CPVC, PE, PVDF, PFA, to and from various components on a skid or within a process tool per design.
• Assist with factory acceptance testing of equipment.
• Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with strong mechanical assembly experience working with larger components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings such as P&IDs and GA Drawings.
• Able to use various hand and power tools.
• Experience with installing mechanical piping and components.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
• Familiarity with factory acceptance testing procedures.
• Commitment to safety policies and guidelines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chanhassen, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
