Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Pharmacy Technician is needed for a behavioral health hospital in Anchorage, AK, specializing in pediatric and detox services. This contract position offers the opportunity to support a focused team in a facility with 74 licensed beds and an average daily census of 65-70 patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory and ensure timely Omnicell deliveries
• Handle phone call triage related to pharmacy needs
• Maintain accurate record keeping compliant with facility standards
• Assist with medication order entry using HCS Web EMR (training provided if needed)
• Collaborate with Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist to support patient care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Alaska Pharmacy Technician license (essential; procurement is straightforward)
• Experience in acute care or behavioral health pharmacy settings
• Comfortable using remote desktop applications such as Omnicell via Citrix/OCRA (experience not required)
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend work required

This assignment begins immediately and is expected to last at least 8 weeks, potentially extending up to 12 weeks until a permanent hire is onboarded.
