License: Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
Certifications: ASCP certification HT or HTL

Must-Have:
Microtomy
Embedding
Ability to perform re-cuts
Troubleshooting difficult blocks
Detail orientation
Ability to work in a high volume histology lab and maintain case integrity
Experience with special stains, tissue specimens, cell cultures, microscopic exams, routine histology, CLIA, IHC, frozen sections, routine maintenance, microtome, surgical pathology, and technical procedures

Description:
The role requires performing various histology techniques and procedures.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in microtomy and embedding.
Attention to detail is essential to maintain case integrity.
Experience in troubleshooting difficult blocks is required.
The position involves working in a high volume environment.
Candidates should have familiarity with an EMR system.
Travelers will undergo daily departmental orientation and training.
No weekend or holiday requirements.
There is no specific dress code for this position.
