This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Revenue Cycle Billing Liaison Manager – PB based in the United States.

The Revenue Cycle Billing Liaison Manager will oversee and coordinate professional billing activities while serving as a strategic connection point across clinical departments, billing operations, vendors, and other stakeholders.
This role combines revenue cycle expertise, relationship management, performance oversight, and continuous improvement to strengthen billing outcomes.
You’ll analyze operational trends, monitor service levels and KPIs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, accuracy, and collections.
The position offers significant cross-functional exposure, working closely with administrative leaders and physician stakeholders to address challenges and implement practical solutions.
You’ll also help standardize processes, optimize systems, and manage initiatives that improve the overall flow of patient accounts.
Success requires strong knowledge of professional billing, payer reimbursement, coding requirements, and healthcare regulations.
This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced revenue cycle professional who combines analytical thinking with strong communication and leadership skills.

Accountabilities

• Serve as the professional billing subject matter expert for assigned departments, providing guidance on revenue cycle processes, issues, performance, and opportunities.
• Act as the primary liaison between professional billing operations, assigned departments and practices, third-party billing vendors, and other organizational stakeholders.
• Monitor service levels, KPIs, work queues, productivity, quality, accuracy, and timeliness to identify operational challenges and improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with department leaders, practice contacts, physician leaders, administrative teams, and vendor representatives.
• Collaborate across departments and with third-party billing partners to improve organizational efficiency, standardize processes, and optimize the flow of patient accounts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, technology enhancements, and system updates that can strengthen billing performance and operational efficiency.
• Lead or support the implementation of standards, systems, and performance improvement initiatives designed to improve quality, consistency, productivity, and timeliness.
• Provide regular monitoring, reporting, and communication of department-specific trends and overall revenue cycle performance.
• Partner with appropriate teams to prepare, review, and analyze revenue cycle reports, identifying trends, risks, and actionable opportunities.
• Facilitate recurring meetings with administrative directors and physician leaders to review revenue cycle metrics, discuss key trends, and establish improvement priorities.
• Document meeting discussions, distribute action items, and maintain timely follow-up until issues and commitments are resolved.
• Provide general oversight of third-party billing vendors and maintain strong working relationships with assigned vendor client managers.
• Recommend and help implement revenue cycle improvements that support increased collections, optimal billing performance, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of professional revenue cycle operations while ensuring adherence to applicable coding, billing, payer, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while keeping initiatives aligned with departmental and organizational objectives.
• Promote high standards of professionalism, patient service, collaboration, and respect in all interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, including experience managing professional billing functions within an academic medical center environment.
• 3–5 years of Epic experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including professional billing, coding guidelines, payer requirements, and government reimbursement regulations.
• Working knowledge of payer reimbursement methodologies, rules, and requirements.
• Strong CPT coding knowledge and the ability to interpret and apply relevant billing and regulatory standards.
• Experience with revenue cycle auditing, training, education, and communication of billing regulations and concepts.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, interpret, and analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to produce meaningful reports, identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, administrative leaders, management, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex revenue cycle concepts clearly.
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of multiple healthcare applications, including Epic.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a substantial workload and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to interpret and implement regulatory requirements while maintaining compliance and operational consistency.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive improvements across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accountability for projects and deliverables.
