Surgical Services RN - Cataract Experience Required

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 4 days per week, with a 32-hour guarantee.

Job Description

The Clinical Nurse is a key member of the surgical team who functions in both circulating and scrubbing capacities. Services lines provided include General Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Pain Management, and Endoscopy procedures. Our nurses provide specialized care for adult and geriatric patients, working primarily in outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care.

Responsibilities

• Function effectively as a circulating nurse and scrubbing nurse in the surgical services department.
• Provide specialized care for a variety of surgical services.
• Administer care to patients aged 16 and older.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Cataract experience is required and is non-negotiable.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in surgical nursing.
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating for surgeries is necessary.
• Phase I/PACU experience is required.
• Experience working in a smaller operating room facility is preferred.
• Multiple surgical experience is essential.
• Cerner EMR experience is mandatory.
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications are required.
• Must possess a valid Vermont nursing license.
