Wait Staff
Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is looking for reliable and compassionate Wait Staff to support our Dining Services team. Responsibilities include serving meals, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and assisting with dishwashing and food service tasks. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with seniors and take pride in delivering outstanding service and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Serve meals to residents and guests.
- Understand and follow special dietary requirements when serving food.
- Set up, deliver, and collect meal trays.
- Set and clear dining room tables.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen and dining equipment.
- Clean tables, chairs, and dining room floors after meals.
- Complete daily cleaning checklists.
- Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Build positive relationships with residents and coworkers.
- Follow sanitation, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Report any concerns involving resident safety, abuse, neglect, or resident rights.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout a shift.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow directions.
- Friendly communication skills and the ability to work well with residents and coworkers.
- Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
- Kitchen and dining room settings.
- Exposure to hot water, steam, food service equipment, and busy meal-time activity.
Pay
Starting Pay: $15.00 - $15.45 per hour
Available Schedules
Full-Time
- 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Weekdays and weekends
Part-Time
- 15 to 20 hours per week
- 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM
- Weekdays and weekends
