Adjunct Faculty - Political Science, Legal, and Urban Studies

Position Adjunct Faculty – Department of Political Science, Legal, and Urban Studies. William Paterson University invites applications for this position. Develop syllabi with relevant course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment. Return graded assignments to students in a timely manner using a clear and appropriate grading methodology. Contribute to student success by being available during set office hours to address student questions and/or concerns. Required Qualifications Master's or Juris Doctor degree in political science or a similar field. Ability to teach in-person or online. Preferred Qualifications Professional experience in a field related to government or law. Experience teaching both online and in-person. Personal Attributes and Traits Ability to apply professional experience to enhance the students’ learning experience. Openness to utilizing new and innovative teaching methods and technologies. Commitment to creating a positive learning environment for students. Capability in handling student challenges and accommodations with patience and respect. Willingness to accept constructive feedback from colleagues. Adjuncts Per Credit Rate New employees – $2100 per credit Employees who have worked for 13+ semesters at WP – $2175 per credit Benefits May be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health and dental insurance and retirement plans.
