Senior Human Resources Assistant

The Senior Human Resources Assistant provides advanced administrative and technical support to the Human Resources Department. Responsibilities include assisting with classified and certificated recruitment and hiring, coordinating interviews, maintaining personnel and hiring records, conducting reference checks, preparing correspondence and Board materials, supporting HR data systems, and providing responsive service to employees, applicants, schools, and District departments.

Minimum Qualifications Experience: At least five (5) years of secretarial experience, with at least three (3) of those years in a responsible position within a public school district. Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional business training to enhance practical skills and knowledge in a professional environment. Knowledge and Skills: Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and computer skills; knowledge of school district operations and Human Resources practices; and the ability to understand and apply District policies, procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable regulations. Typing Requirement: Ability to keyboard accurately at a minimum of 50 words per minute.
