We are looking for a motivated, outgoing person who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, and being part of the community. Automotive sales experience is helpful, but it is not required. We can teach you the vehicle business. What we cannot teach is character, work ethic, and the ability to connect with people. The Opportunity As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you will help customers find the right vehicle for their needs and make the buying process comfortable, straightforward, and enjoyable. You will build your own customer base through personal relationships, referrals, community involvement, and consistent follow-up. This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commission. Your earning potential will be directly connected to the effort you put into developing relationships, following up with customers, and creating new business. What You’ll Do Welcome customers and learn what they need from their next vehicle Help customers compare vehicles, features, and available options Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives Guide customers through the buying process from the first conversation through delivery Follow up with customers before and after the sale Build repeat and referral business by providing an exceptional experience Develop new opportunities through personal networking, community involvement, social media, and customer outreach Respond promptly and professionally to phone and internet inquiries Maintain accurate customer information and follow-up activity in our CRM Stay knowledgeable about Ford vehicles, used inventory, incentives, and available programs Work with the entire dealership team to take care of customers and achieve store goals Who We’re Looking For The right person is: Friendly, confident, and comfortable starting conversations Dependable and willing to put in consistent effort Competitive, motivated, and driven to improve Active in—or genuinely connected to—the local community Comfortable using the phone, text, email, and social media to communicate with customers Organized enough to consistently follow up and keep commitments Coachable and willing to learn Honest and committed to treating customers the right way Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous sales or customer-service experience is helpful, but not required Strong communication and relationship-building skills Basic computer and technology skills Availability to work Saturdays and other scheduled dealership hours Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record Compensation And Benefits Competitive base salary Commission on vehicle sales Performance-based earning opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Ongoing training and professional development Opportunities for advancement within the dealership Employee vehicle purchase benefits Why Bud Cross Ford?
