Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections on a diverse patient population, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Draw and prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures
• Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collections and patient information
• Create a professional, safe, and comfortable environment for patients during specimen collection
• Travel between multiple locations within the region to provide flexible coverage as needed
• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including company dress code and healthcare safety protocols
• Exercise good judgment to make decisions following established procedures
• Demonstrate excellent customer focus, communication, and adaptability in high-volume settings

Required Skills

• Proven phlebotomy skills with 1-3 years of experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
• Attention to detail for specimen verification and documentation
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; clean driving record required for travel
• Keyboard and data entry skills for accurate record keeping

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred, including in a patient service center environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on staffing needs
• Must demonstrate superior customer focus and ability to embrace change
• Travel between multiple sites and coverage with minimal notice; ability to submit mileage for expense reimbursement
