Position Description: As a Host, you'll set the tone for every guest experience by creating a warm welcome, managing the flow of a fast-paced dining room, and ensuring every guest feels valued from arrival to departure. Success in this role requires confidence, organization, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, full-service restaurant while delivering genuine hospitality.Alexandria Restaurant Partners locations include Ada’s on the River, Barca Pier & Wine Bar, Café Tu Tu Tango, Mia’s Italian Kitchen, Palette 22, Joe Theismann’s, The Royal, and Vola’s Dockside Grill & Hi-Tide Lounge.

Position Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and a sense of urgency.Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments using OpenTable while maximizing seating efficiency.Coordinate with managers and service teams to ensure smooth guest flow and balanced server sections.Communicate accurate wait times and keep guests informed throughout their experience.Resolve guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a solutions-focused mindset.Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting entrance and host stand.Answer phones, manage reservation inquiries, and provide knowledgeable information about the restaurant.Support the team wherever needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Qualifications - 1+ years of host experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant required.Previous OpenTable experience preferred.Outstanding communication and guest service skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay composed during peak business periods.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.Able to grasp, lift, and/or carry up to 50 lbs. as needed. Additional Information: People are the core of our business.
