Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patients' needs, goals, and physician directives. This role requires the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs aimed at effectively returning patients to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves and carries out other professional duties related to patient care and program delivery. Compliance with the organizational Code of Conduct and the core values of safety is paramount in this position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals to progress patients towards discharge.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Participate in assigning and supervising students in the clinical setting.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete all mandated continuing education requirements.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct according to the professional code of conduct.

Required Experience

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas.
