Pharma Molecular Biologist

Cogent Scientific is seeking a Pharma Molecular Biologist for one of our Indianapolis sites. Job Duties Develop, optimize, and run samples for ligand-based custom assays (preferably with prior ELISA experience) Test samples using qPCR/RT-PCR (preferably with prior qPCR/RT-PCR experience) Analyze tissue samples and perform DNA/RNA extraction (prior experience with homogenization desirable) Utilize laboratory automation equipment (experience operating liquid handlers is a plus) Interpret and evaluate results for internal customers Job Requirements BS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, or related field with 1–3 years of laboratory experience (preferably from a pharma environment). MS in Molecular Biology, etc., with 0–1 years of experience outside academia also considered. Strong time-management skills and flexibility to handle urgent projects within given timelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very strong attention to detail, safety, and problem-solving skills. Excellent team player skills. High level of learning agility and ability to work across functions. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, with leadership and communication skills to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and adaptability. This is a day shift position (approximately 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. local time).
