Luxury Wine Specialist

Position Overview On‑Premise Sales Consultant focused on luxury spirits and estate wines as part of the Oxford Street Merchants team at Johnson Brothers. The role involves top‑level communication, nurturing customer relationships, developing sales presentations, and achieving product distribution goals. Responsibilities Provide top‑level communication with accurate reporting. Build and nurture customer relationships, creating rapport with new customers. Develop thorough sales presentations for customers. Understand sales trends and business practices of customers within the territory. Work flexible hours to provide sales support including staff training, wine dinners, and conducting evening and weekend tastings. Develop and execute a productive itinerary for winery representatives visiting markets. Achieve objectives for product distribution, case goals, and new account targets in the assigned territory. Required Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Highly motivated, able to work in a fast‑paced environment as a team player with minimal supervision. Above‑average wine knowledge. Confident in cold calling and perseverance to open new accounts. Ability to manage goals and track achievements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Occasional overnight travel. Computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Periodic and repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds. Valid driver's license, vehicle, and responsible MVR. Minimum 5 years of retail/on‑premise sales experience with supplier or wholesaler. WSET Level 3 / Certified Sommelier / CSW or equivalent work experience preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must pass criminal background and MVR.
