Experience: 2 years, including critical care experience

License: MD license required

Certifications: CPR via AHA, ACLS preferred

Description: 7 PM - 7:30 AM shift, 36 hours per week, every other weekend. Will cover adult patients. It is highly preferred that the candidate have some NICU experience. Responsible for providing direct patient respiratory care treatments. Assisting in evaluating patients with respiratory illnesses. Includes but is not limited to: Respiratory therapy in various critical care units and general respiratory care. Experience in adult and pediatric emergency rooms. Ventilator management and arterial blood gas collection. Administering CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen therapy. Providing chest physiotherapy (CPT) and aerosolized medications. Participating in CPR/code team activities. Maintaining computerized documentation. Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program is required.
