Ohio Licensed Trauma Registrar

Working remotely Monday through Friday, the full-time Ohio Licensed Trauma Registrar will manage the abstraction and coding of medical record data for trauma patients, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and deadlines. Key responsibilities Collect, abstract, and accurately enter trauma patient information into the trauma registry in a timely manner Complete final entry of patient data no later than 60 days post-discharge and participate in data validation Assist in preparations for trauma center verification and ensure compliance with reporting requirements Required qualifications Knowledge of and skills using Epic and Excel Completion of 8 hours of trauma registry-related continuing education per year as recommended by the American College of Surgeons Obtain required certifications/education within one year of hire as directed by the American College of Surgeons Associate's Degree in healthcare or two years of relevant experience including medical terminology Previous data registry experience including knowledge in case abstraction and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
