Network Operations ManagerLocation: On-Site (Tallahassee, FL)Candidate must be local to Florida.LinkedIn must required.Please do not send more than one profile per position. Interviews can be scheduled via Teams, but local candidates who can attend the interview face-to-face are highly preferred.Job Duties:Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the security and network operations group.Maintain consolidated statewide network operations and serve as the network architect.Maintain the Daytona Beach network infrastructure.Provide Microsoft Teams and SharePoint administration.Maintain and deploy recommended and approved patches, including spyware, malware, and antivirus solutions.Provide consultative support for all local and remote servers.Support operating systems and applicable applications on servers and Windows workstations.Perform network troubleshooting as necessary.Provide support for DTI routers and switches.Provide backup help desk support for security-related issues, including NTFS and shared-folder permissions.Provide frontline help desk support for the Daytona campus, including network printers, antivirus software, logon scripts, and other network-related functions.Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory.Configure and support network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems.Maintain security as a primary focus across all IT-related duties and responsibilities.Manage and support the virtualized environment and ensure business continuity.Minimum Qualifications:Take ownership of establishing Information Technology strategy and ensuring alignment with business objectives and desired outcomes.Manage network operations, data security, networking equipment, and support secure software applications.Plan and manage the implementation and support of new technologies, including wireless technologies, network performance, and reliability.Oversee and coordinate daily IT security and network operations activities.Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility with the ability to independently learn new tools and technologies and adapt to different environments with minimal guidance.Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word, with working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.Demonstrate strong time management skills, including estimating levels of effort and consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines.Serve as a collaborative team player with the ability and willingness to mentor technical staff and share knowledge.Experience managing network operations and service levels for data and voice networking equipment, advanced phone systems, and network-processing devices.Experience planning and managing new technologies, including wireless solutions, network performance, availability, and reliability.Experience coordinating daily activities of statewide network operations.Strong knowledge of network architecture with the ability to advise management on best practices for maintaining a current and secure network environment.Experience developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing network hardware, software, and communication links.Experience resolving end-user hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and accurate manner.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments and make sound decisions during emergency situations.Experience with network and PC operating systems and technologies, including Domain Name System (DNS), Group Policy, Active Directory, and Windows desktop operating systems.Experience with Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Frame Relay, leased-line design, and router configuration.Education and Certifications:Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. Related work experience will be considered.
