Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating employee information, processing new hire transactions, and supporting the day-to-day HR operations within a large manufacturing facility. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being highly visible, employee-facing, and directly involved in the success of a manufacturing operation. Responsibilities Maintain and update employee information within HRIS, preferably UKG/Kronos. Process new hire transactions and employee record changes. Perform timesheet corrections and provide payroll support. Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding. Answer employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, and company policies. Assist employees with HR systems and self-service tools. Support employee communications and town hall meetings. Maintain confidential personnel records. Partner with management on policy implementation and employee relations matters. Provide front-line HR support as the first point of contact for employees. Essential Skills 3 to 5 years of HR experience. At least 2 years of HRIS experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, formulas). High School Diploma or equivalent. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Additional Skills & Qualifications College education. Any certifications. Experience with UKG or Kronos. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Approachable and employee-focused. Detail-oriented. Comfortable handling confidential information. Able to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Professional when enforcing policies and addressing employee concerns. Self-motivated and resilient. Work Environment The role is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, within a large manufacturing facility with over 450 employees. The environment is fast-paced, highly visible, and employee-focused, providing a dynamic HR setting where no two days are the same. Approximately 60% of the role involves working within the HRIS system supporting payroll corrections, employee data management, and onboarding transactions, while 40% focuses on direct employee interaction, orientations, training support, and participation in company-wide meetings and town halls. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, IL. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
