Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryWe are looking for an energetic and experienced Coach to join our team!The job coach supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in obtaining and maintain competitive, integrated employment in the community. This role focuses on hands on training, skill development, and ongoing support to a job site to promote independence, confidence, and long-term success.Key Responsibilities:Provide on-site job coaching and training to individuals in community-based work settingsAssist individual with learning job tasks through modeling, prompting, and positive guidanceSupport development of workplace skills such as communication, time management, problem solving and appropriate workplace behaviorEnsure services align with each individual's Individual Service Plan (ISP) and employment goalsGradually reduce support as appropriate to encourage independence (fading techniques)Monitor job performance and provide constructive feedback and encouragementCommunicate regularly with employers, families, and team members as appropriateMaintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with DBHDD standards (progress notes, data tracking, etc.)Assist with job retention strategies, including addressing barriers and reinforcing strengthsPromote dignity, respect, and person-centered support at all timesFollow all DBHDD, CARF and company policies and proceduresQualifications:High school diploma or GED required (Associate's preferred, but not required)Expreience working with individuals with disabilities, special education, or human services preferredKnowledge of DBHDD standards and Supported Employment Services preferredStrong communication, patience, and teaching skillsAbility to work independently in community settings
