Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

Location: Golden Heart Companions

Schedule

We are currently hiring for full-time positions with the following schedules:

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Rotation: Monday through Sunday, every other week

What You’ll Do

As a valued member of our care team, you will help create a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for our clients. Responsibilities include:

• Providing compassionate, personalized care
• Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility
• Offering companionship and meaningful social interaction
• Preparing meals and maintaining a clean, comfortable living space
• Accompanying clients to appointments and community activities
• Assisting with medication administration (training provided)
• Documenting care activities and communicating with the care team
• Following individualized care plans to support client goals and well-being

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and motivated to help others succeed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for caregiving and helping others
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation and current vehicle insurance
• Current TB test results (within 90 days)

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting clients with mobility and transfers throughout the shift.
