Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician directions. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. The therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities, while also serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs and provide supervision and evaluations for students.
• Create an individualized professional development plan with clinical management.
• Adhere to discipline-specific state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Demonstrate awareness of organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, with a schedule of 5x8 hours.
