Director, Grid & Technical

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience in transmission, renewable energy or utility-scale power projects. Strong knowledge of Morocco's transmission network, grid connection processes and renewable energy regulations. Experience working with ONEE, MASEN and/or ANRE is highly preferred. Familiarity with grid simulation tools such as PSS/E or DIgSILENT PowerFactory. Fluent French is essential; Arabic is highly desirable; English required. Lead all technical engagement with ONEE, MASEN and ANRE on grid connection and transmission-related matters. Evaluate grid connection capacity, congestion, interconnection options and technical feasibility for renewable energy projects. Provide technical recommendations on project siting, grid connection strategy and project development. Review and supervise third-party grid studies, including load flow, hosting capacity and grid impact analysis. Support negotiations related to Grid Connection Agreements and Network Access Agreements. Monitor Morocco's renewable energy regulations and advise project teams on technical and regulatory risks. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Morocco's power sector.
