Step-Down Registered Nurse

Provide nursing care in a Step-Down unit. Care for adult and geriatric patients. Monitor patients with diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, respiratory failure, and cardiac dysrhythmias. Perform post-heart catheterization care and vascular procedure monitoring. Conduct frequent vital sign and neurovascular checks. Manage cardiac drips and assist with procedural sedation administration. Administer emergency medications as necessary. Perform phlebotomy and adhere to infection prevention protocols. Utilize emergency care skills for acute stroke and cardiac interventions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory therapy and social services. Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities. Ensure compliance with safety and isolation precautions.
