Physician, Family Medicine / Internal Medicine - Southwestern Vermont Medical Center

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) is seeking a BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join our new Primary Care practice located in Bennington, Vermont. This unique opportunity will include dedicated time to work along side and develop newly trained primary care advanced practice providers. Located on the main campus of SVMC, the primary care team has seamless access to the hospital campus and its specialty services. This position is strictly outpatient, and offers reasonable and manageable on‑call responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing acute and preventative care, and chronic disease management along with the ability and desire to mentor and develop advanced practice providers. In addition, the candidate will seek the opportunity to build strong relationships and provide continuous and comprehensive care to each patient and the members of their family.

In addition to the Physician’s clinical responsibilities, the Physician will spend sufficient and reasonable time on administrative and record‑keeping matters pertaining to the Physician’s medical practice.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the State of Vermont
• Must obtain and maintain Federal DEA certification in the State of Vermont
