Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel) TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The assignment is 40 hours per week, with 10‑hour day shifts. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Work hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment type: Travel Responsibilities As an IR Tech, you will: Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures. Prepare and observe patients for procedures and report abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures, providing reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patients during all procedures. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to ensure adequate safeguards. Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy to interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Qualifications At least 1 year of recent acute care experience. BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) national certification; state‑specific licensing when required. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional Information Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
