JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities and Qualifications: Edit video for assigned shows and reporter packages. Use editorial and visual judgment, tune in incoming feeds from satellites and ENG sources. Create and add special effects to stories. Meet broadcast deadlines. Possess working knowledge of nonlinear editing and newsroom computer systems. Familiarity with Edius and Bit Central is a plus. Have good news judgment. Minimum of two years of experience as a video editor in a television news department is recommended. Strong writing, producing, and photography skills encouraged. Weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed are required. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $25.96-26.87 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
