1st Grade Instructional Aide

Position Type Non-Certified Student Support Services / Non-Certified Other Job Title 1st Grade Instructional Aide / Building Aide The hired candidate will be an employee of EduStaff Location Bailey Lake Elementary Essential Duties and Responsibilities Works with students to help them achieve the reading skill level of the class as a whole. Administers, scores, and records such achievement and diagnostic tests as the teacher recommends for individual students. Assists in producing and organizing the learning environment, equipment and materials. Guides independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by teacher. Assists with supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, and field trips. Reads to students, listens to students read and participates in other forms of oral communication with students. Assist in producing and organizing the learning environment, equipment and materials Provide individual or small group student support Supervises students at lunch time and maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts. Directs movement of groups to and from the cafeteria in a safe and organized manner. Assists students in lunch room clean-up. Supervise rest rooms and hallways.
